OpenCL-Headers Apache License Version 2.0, January 2004 http://www.apache.org/licenses/ TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR USE, REPRODUCTION, AND DISTRIBUTION 1. Definitions. "License" shall mean the terms and conditions for use, reproduction, and distribution as defined by Sections 1 through 9 of this document. "Licensor" shall mean the copyright owner or entity authorized by the copyright owner that is granting the License. "Legal Entity" shall mean the union of the acting entity and all other entities that control, are controlled by, or are under common control with that entity. For the purposes of this definition, "control" means (i) the power, direct or indirect, to cause the direction or management of such entity, whether by contract or otherwise, or (ii) ownership of fifty percent (50%) or more of the outstanding shares, or (iii) beneficial ownership of such entity. "You" (or "Your") shall mean an individual or Legal Entity exercising permissions granted by this License. "Source" form shall mean the preferred form for making modifications, including but not limited to software source code, documentation source, and configuration files. "Object" form shall mean any form resulting from mechanical transformation or translation of a Source form, including but not limited to compiled object code, generated documentation, and conversions to other media types. "Work" shall mean the work of authorship, whether in Source or Object form, made available under the License, as indicated by a copyright notice that is included in or attached to the work (an example is provided in the Appendix below). "Derivative Works" shall mean any work, whether in Source or Object form, that is based on (or derived from) the Work and for which the editorial revisions, annotations, elaborations, or other modifications represent, as a whole, an original work of authorship. For the purposes of this License, Derivative Works shall not include works that remain separable from, or merely link (or bind by name) to the interfaces of, the Work and Derivative Works thereof. "Contribution" shall mean any work of authorship, including the original version of the Work and any modifications or additions to that Work or Derivative Works thereof, that is intentionally submitted to Licensor for inclusion in the Work by the copyright owner or by an individual or Legal Entity authorized to submit on behalf of the copyright owner. For the purposes of this definition, "submitted" means any form of electronic, verbal, or written communication sent to the Licensor or its representatives, including but not limited to communication on electronic mailing lists, source code control systems, and issue tracking systems that are managed by, or on behalf of, the Licensor for the purpose of discussing and improving the Work, but excluding communication that is conspicuously marked or otherwise designated in writing by the copyright owner as "Not a Contribution." "Contributor" shall mean Licensor and any individual or Legal Entity on behalf of whom a Contribution has been received by Licensor and subsequently incorporated within the Work. 2. Grant of Copyright License. Subject to the terms and conditions of this License, each Contributor hereby grants to You a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, no-charge, royalty-free, irrevocable copyright license to reproduce, prepare Derivative Works of, publicly display, publicly perform, sublicense, and distribute the Work and such Derivative Works in Source or Object form. 3. Grant of Patent License. Subject to the terms and conditions of this License, each Contributor hereby grants to You a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, no-charge, royalty-free, irrevocable (except as stated in this section) patent license to make, have made, use, offer to sell, sell, import, and otherwise transfer the Work, where such license applies only to those patent claims licensable by such Contributor that are necessarily infringed by their Contribution(s) alone or by combination of their Contribution(s) with the Work to which such Contribution(s) was submitted. If You institute patent litigation against any entity (including a cross-claim or counterclaim in a lawsuit) alleging that the Work or a Contribution incorporated within the Work constitutes direct or contributory patent infringement, then any patent licenses granted to You under this License for that Work shall terminate as of the date such litigation is filed. 4. Redistribution. You may reproduce and distribute copies of the Work or Derivative Works thereof in any medium, with or without modifications, and in Source or Object form, provided that You meet the following conditions: (a) You must give any other recipients of the Work or Derivative Works a copy of this License; and (b) You must cause any modified files to carry prominent notices stating that You changed the files; and (c) You must retain, in the Source form of any Derivative Works that You distribute, all copyright, patent, trademark, and attribution notices from the Source form of the Work, excluding those notices that do not pertain to any part of the Derivative Works; and (d) If the Work includes a "NOTICE" text file as part of its distribution, then any Derivative Works that You distribute must include a readable copy of the attribution notices contained within such NOTICE file, excluding those notices that do not pertain to any part of the Derivative Works, in at least one of the following places: within a NOTICE text file distributed as part of the Derivative Works; within the Source form or documentation, if provided along with the Derivative Works; or, within a display generated by the Derivative Works, if and wherever such third-party notices normally appear. The contents of the NOTICE file are for informational purposes only and do not modify the License. You may add Your own attribution notices within Derivative Works that You distribute, alongside or as an addendum to the NOTICE text from the Work, provided that such additional attribution notices cannot be construed as modifying the License. You may add Your own copyright statement to Your modifications and may provide additional or different license terms and conditions for use, reproduction, or distribution of Your modifications, or for any such Derivative Works as a whole, provided Your use, reproduction, and distribution of the Work otherwise complies with the conditions stated in this License. 5. Submission of Contributions. Unless You explicitly state otherwise, any Contribution intentionally submitted for inclusion in the Work by You to the Licensor shall be under the terms and conditions of this License, without any additional terms or conditions. Notwithstanding the above, nothing herein shall supersede or modify the terms of any separate license agreement you may have executed with Licensor regarding such Contributions. 6. Trademarks. This License does not grant permission to use the trade names, trademarks, service marks, or product names of the Licensor, except as required for reasonable and customary use in describing the origin of the Work and reproducing the content of the NOTICE file. 7. Disclaimer of Warranty. Unless required by applicable law or agreed to in writing, Licensor provides the Work (and each Contributor provides its Contributions) on an "AS IS" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OR CONDITIONS OF ANY KIND, either express or implied, including, without limitation, any warranties or conditions of TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, MERCHANTABILITY, or FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. You are solely responsible for determining the appropriateness of using or redistributing the Work and assume any risks associated with Your exercise of permissions under this License. 8. Limitation of Liability. In no event and under no legal theory, whether in tort (including negligence), contract, or otherwise, unless required by applicable law (such as deliberate and grossly negligent acts) or agreed to in writing, shall any Contributor be liable to You for damages, including any direct, indirect, special, incidental, or consequential damages of any character arising as a result of this License or out of the use or inability to use the Work (including but not limited to damages for loss of goodwill, work stoppage, computer failure or malfunction, or any and all other commercial damages or losses), even if such Contributor has been advised of the possibility of such damages. 9. Accepting Warranty or Additional Liability. While redistributing the Work or Derivative Works thereof, You may choose to offer, and charge a fee for, acceptance of support, warranty, indemnity, or other liability obligations and/or rights consistent with this License. However, in accepting such obligations, You may act only on Your own behalf and on Your sole responsibility, not on behalf of any other Contributor, and only if You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold each Contributor harmless for any liability incurred by, or claims asserted against, such Contributor by reason of your accepting any such warranty or additional liability. (No SIMD or threads, so it be easily outperformed by libs that use those.) Only scaling and translation is supported, no rotations or shears. Easy API downsamples w/Mitchell filter, upsamples w/cubic interpolation. COMPILING & LINKING In one C/C++ file that #includes this file, do this: #define STB_IMAGE_RESIZE_IMPLEMENTATION before the #include. That will create the implementation in that file. QUICKSTART stbir_resize_uint8( input_pixels , in_w , in_h , 0, output_pixels, out_w, out_h, 0, num_channels) stbir_resize_float(...) stbir_resize_uint8_srgb( input_pixels , in_w , in_h , 0, output_pixels, out_w, out_h, 0, num_channels , alpha_chan , 0) stbir_resize_uint8_srgb_edgemode( input_pixels , in_w , in_h , 0, output_pixels, out_w, out_h, 0, num_channels , alpha_chan , 0, STBIR_EDGE_CLAMP) // WRAP/REFLECT/ZERO FULL API See the "header file" section of the source for API documentation. ADDITIONAL DOCUMENTATION SRGB & FLOATING POINT REPRESENTATION The sRGB functions presume IEEE floating point. If you do not have IEEE floating point, define STBIR_NON_IEEE_FLOAT. This will use a slower implementation. MEMORY ALLOCATION The resize functions here perform a single memory allocation using malloc. To control the memory allocation, before the #include that triggers the implementation, do: #define STBIR_MALLOC(size,context) ... #define STBIR_FREE(ptr,context) ... Each resize function makes exactly one call to malloc/free, so to use temp memory, store the temp memory in the context and return that. ASSERT Define STBIR_ASSERT(boolval) to override assert() and not use assert.h OPTIMIZATION Define STBIR_SATURATE_INT to compute clamp values in-range using integer operations instead of float operations. This may be faster on some platforms. DEFAULT FILTERS For functions which don't provide explicit control over what filters to use, you can change the compile-time defaults with #define STBIR_DEFAULT_FILTER_UPSAMPLE STBIR_FILTER_something #define STBIR_DEFAULT_FILTER_DOWNSAMPLE STBIR_FILTER_something See stbir_filter in the header-file section for the list of filters. NEW FILTERS A number of 1D filter kernels are used. For a list of supported filters see the stbir_filter enum. To add a new filter, write a filter function and add it to stbir__filter_info_table. PROGRESS For interactive use with slow resize operations, you can install a progress-report callback: #define STBIR_PROGRESS_REPORT(val) some_func(val) The parameter val is a float which goes from 0 to 1 as progress is made. For example: static void my_progress_report(float progress); #define STBIR_PROGRESS_REPORT(val) my_progress_report(val) #define STB_IMAGE_RESIZE_IMPLEMENTATION #include "stb_image_resize.h" static void my_progress_report(float progress) { printf("Progress: %f%%\n", progress*100); } MAX CHANNELS If your image has more than 64 channels, define STBIR_MAX_CHANNELS to the max you'll have. ALPHA CHANNEL Most of the resizing functions provide the ability to control how the alpha channel of an image is processed. The important things to know about this: 1. The best mathematically-behaved version of alpha to use is called "premultiplied alpha", in which the other color channels have had the alpha value multiplied in. If you use premultiplied alpha, linear filtering (such as image resampling done by this library, or performed in texture units on GPUs) does the "right thing". While premultiplied alpha is standard in the movie CGI industry, it is still uncommon in the videogame/real-time world. If you linearly filter non-premultiplied alpha, strange effects occur. (For example, the average of 1% opaque bright green and 99% opaque black produces 50% transparent dark green when non-premultiplied, whereas premultiplied it produces 50% transparent near-black. The former introduces green energy that doesn't exist in the source image.) 2. Artists should not edit premultiplied-alpha images; artists want non-premultiplied alpha images. Thus, art tools generally output non-premultiplied alpha images. 3. You will get best results in most cases by converting images to premultiplied alpha before processing them mathematically. 4. If you pass the flag STBIR_FLAG_ALPHA_PREMULTIPLIED, the resizer does not do anything special for the alpha channel; it is resampled identically to other channels. This produces the correct results for premultiplied-alpha images, but produces less-than-ideal results for non-premultiplied-alpha images. 5. If you do not pass the flag STBIR_FLAG_ALPHA_PREMULTIPLIED, then the resizer weights the contribution of input pixels based on their alpha values, or, equivalently, it multiplies the alpha value into the color channels, resamples, then divides by the resultant alpha value. Input pixels which have alpha=0 do not contribute at all to output pixels unless _all_ of the input pixels affecting that output pixel have alpha=0, in which case the result for that pixel is the same as it would be without STBIR_FLAG_ALPHA_PREMULTIPLIED. However, this is only true for input images in integer formats. For input images in float format, input pixels with alpha=0 have no effect, and output pixels which have alpha=0 will be 0 in all channels. (For float images, you can manually achieve the same result by adding a tiny epsilon value to the alpha channel of every image, and then subtracting or clamping it at the end.) 6. You can suppress the behavior described in #5 and make all-0-alpha pixels have 0 in all channels by #defining STBIR_NO_ALPHA_EPSILON. 7. You can separately control whether the alpha channel is interpreted as linear or affected by the colorspace. By default it is linear; you almost never want to apply the colorspace. (For example, graphics hardware does not apply sRGB conversion to the alpha channel.) Rich Geldreich , last updated Oct. 13, 2013 Implements RFC 1950: http://www.ietf.org/rfc/rfc1950.txt and RFC 1951: http://www.ietf.org/rfc/rfc1951.txt Most API's defined in miniz.c are optional. For example, to disable the archive related functions just define MINIZ_NO_ARCHIVE_APIS, or to get rid of all stdio usage define MINIZ_NO_STDIO (see the list below for more macros). * Low-level Deflate/Inflate implementation notes: Compression: Use the "tdefl" API's. The compressor supports raw, static, and dynamic blocks, lazy or greedy parsing, match length filtering, RLE-only, and Huffman-only streams. It performs and compresses approximately as well as zlib. Decompression: Use the "tinfl" API's. The entire decompressor is implemented as a single function coroutine: see tinfl_decompress(). It supports decompression into a 32KB (or larger power of 2) wrapping buffer, or into a memory block large enough to hold the entire file. The low-level tdefl/tinfl API's do not make any use of dynamic memory allocation. * zlib-style API notes: miniz.c implements a fairly large subset of zlib. There's enough functionality present for it to be a drop-in zlib replacement in many apps: The z_stream struct, optional memory allocation callbacks deflateInit/deflateInit2/deflate/deflateReset/deflateEnd/deflateBound inflateInit/inflateInit2/inflate/inflateReset/inflateEnd compress, compress2, compressBound, uncompress CRC-32, Adler-32 - Using modern, minimal code size, CPU cache friendly routines. Supports raw deflate streams or standard zlib streams with adler-32 checking. Limitations: The callback API's are not implemented yet. No support for gzip headers or zlib static dictionaries. I've tried to closely emulate zlib's various flavors of stream flushing and return status codes, but there are no guarantees that miniz.c pulls this off perfectly. * PNG writing: See the tdefl_write_image_to_png_file_in_memory() function, originally written by Alex Evans. Supports 1-4 bytes/pixel images. * ZIP archive API notes: The ZIP archive API's where designed with simplicity and efficiency in mind, with just enough abstraction to get the job done with minimal fuss. There are simple API's to retrieve file information, read files from existing archives, create new archives, append new files to existing archives, or clone archive data from one archive to another. It supports archives located in memory or the heap, on disk (using stdio.h), or you can specify custom file read/write callbacks. - Archive reading: Just call this function to read a single file from a disk archive: void *mz_zip_extract_archive_file_to_heap(const char *pZip_filename, const char *pArchive_name, size_t *pSize, mz_uint zip_flags); For more complex cases, use the "mz_zip_reader" functions. Upon opening an archive, the entire central directory is located and read as-is into memory, and subsequent file access only occurs when reading individual files. - Archives file scanning: The simple way is to use this function to scan a loaded archive for a specific file: int mz_zip_reader_locate_file(mz_zip_archive *pZip, const char *pName, const char *pComment, mz_uint flags); The locate operation can optionally check file comments too, which (as one example) can be used to identify multiple versions of the same file in an archive. This function uses a simple linear search through the central directory, so it's not very fast. Alternately, you can iterate through all the files in an archive (using mz_zip_reader_get_num_files()) and retrieve detailed info on each file by calling mz_zip_reader_file_stat(). - Archive creation: Use the "mz_zip_writer" functions. The ZIP writer immediately writes compressed file data to disk and builds an exact image of the central directory in memory. The central directory image is written all at once at the end of the archive file when the archive is finalized. The archive writer can optionally align each file's local header and file data to any power of 2 alignment, which can be useful when the archive will be read from optical media. Also, the writer supports placing arbitrary data blobs at the very beginning of ZIP archives. Archives written using either feature are still readable by any ZIP tool. - Archive appending: The simple way to add a single file to an archive is to call this function: mz_bool mz_zip_add_mem_to_archive_file_in_place(const char *pZip_filename, const char *pArchive_name, const void *pBuf, size_t buf_size, const void *pComment, mz_uint16 comment_size, mz_uint level_and_flags); The archive will be created if it doesn't already exist, otherwise it'll be appended to. Note the appending is done in-place and is not an atomic operation, so if something goes wrong during the operation it's possible the archive could be left without a central directory (although the local file headers and file data will be fine, so the archive will be recoverable). For more complex archive modification scenarios: 1. The safest way is to use a mz_zip_reader to read the existing archive, cloning only those bits you want to preserve into a new archive using using the mz_zip_writer_add_from_zip_reader() function (which compiles the compressed file data as-is). When you're done, delete the old archive and rename the newly written archive, and you're done. This is safe but requires a bunch of temporary disk space or heap memory. 2. Or, you can convert an mz_zip_reader in-place to an mz_zip_writer using mz_zip_writer_init_from_reader(), append new files as needed, then finalize the archive which will write an updated central directory to the original archive. (This is basically what mz_zip_add_mem_to_archive_file_in_place() does.) There's a possibility that the archive's central directory could be lost with this method if anything goes wrong, though. - ZIP archive support limitations: No spanning support. Extraction functions can only handle unencrypted, stored or deflated files. Requires streams capable of seeking. * This is a header file library, like stb_image.c. To get only a header file, either cut and paste the below header, or create miniz.h, #define MINIZ_HEADER_FILE_ONLY, and then include miniz.c from it. * Important: For best perf. be sure to customize the below macros for your target platform: #define MINIZ_USE_UNALIGNED_LOADS_AND_STORES 1 #define MINIZ_LITTLE_ENDIAN 1 #define MINIZ_HAS_64BIT_REGISTERS 1 * On platforms using glibc, Be sure to "#define _LARGEFILE64_SOURCE 1" before including miniz.c to ensure miniz uses the 64-bit variants: fopen64(), stat64(), etc. Otherwise you won't be able to process large files (i.e. 32-bit stat() fails for me on files > 0x7FFFFFFF bytes). */ /************************************************************************** * * Copyright 2013-2014 RAD Game Tools and Valve Software * Copyright 2010-2014 Rich Geldreich and Tenacious Software LLC * All Rights Reserved. * * Permission is hereby granted, free of charge, to any person obtaining a copy * of this software and associated documentation files (the "Software"), to deal * in the Software without restriction, including without limitation the rights * to use, copy, modify, merge, publish, distribute, sublicense, and/or sell * copies of the Software, and to permit persons to whom the Software is * furnished to do so, subject to the following conditions: * * The above copyright notice and this permission notice shall be included in * all copies or substantial portions of the Software. * * THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR * IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, * FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NONINFRINGEMENT.
